KalTrack ("we", "us") builds an AI calorie and macro tracker. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or tracking.
Information we collect
- Meal photos and label/barcode images. Captured with your permission and sent to our analysis service to estimate calories and macros. They are processed transiently for the estimate and are not stored on our servers. Used only to provide the scanning feature.
- Health and fitness data. If you connect Apple Health, we read steps and active energy to adjust your calorie budget. These Health readings are used on your device only and are never uploaded to our servers. With your permission, the app can also write the calories and macros you log back into Apple Health. Health data is never shared for advertising.
- Account / user identifier. An app-level user ID used to sync your data and manage your subscription entitlement.
- Purchase information. Subscription status (active or expired, plan, trial) via Apple and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, used to unlock KalTrack Pro. We never receive your full payment card details; those are handled by Apple.
- Logged food entries and app settings. Your diary is stored on your device and synced to our backend (hosted on Cloudflare) so it can be backed up and restored. Synced data covers your logged meals (name and nutrition values, not photos), the weight entries you log, and your water log.
How we use your information
- To provide core app functionality: food analysis, macro tracking, and your daily budget.
- To manage subscriptions, free-scan limits, and restore purchases.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the app.
All data types we collect are used for App Functionality and may be linked to your identity. None of it is used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Third-party services
- Apple — subscriptions, in-app purchases, and, optionally, Apple Health.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement checks.
- Cloudflare — hosting of our backend and image analysis service.
- Google Gemini — the AI model used to estimate nutrition from your food images. Your photo is sent to Google's Gemini API to produce the estimate. We do not store it, and neither we nor our Worker retain a copy after the estimate is returned.
Data retention
We keep your logged data while your account is active. Meal images are processed to produce a nutrition estimate and are not stored on our servers or retained for advertising or profiling. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.
Your choices
- Camera, Photos, and Apple Health access can be granted or revoked in iOS Settings at any time.
- You can cancel your subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Email us to access or delete your data.
Children
KalTrack is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
This website
kaltrack.fit is a static site. It sets no cookies of its own and has no login. If a web analytics measurement id is configured, Google Analytics is loaded to count page views and link clicks in aggregate; no analytics property is attached at the time of writing. The restaurant calculators run entirely in your browser — what you tick is never sent anywhere.
